Never power on a flooded compressor until it has been inspected and dried. Water inside the motor, controls and air end causes severe damage if energized.
Do Not Start Immediately
Keep the machine disconnected and let water recede fully before inspection.
Inspect and Dry
Check the motor windings, control panel and air end for water ingress. Dry thoroughly and test insulation before reconnecting.
Change Fluids and Filters
Replace contaminated oil, filters and any water-damaged electrical parts.
Test Before Full Load
Run briefly, watch temperatures and pressures, then return to service only when stable.
