A VFD compressor that trips repeatedly usually has a specific cause behind the fault code. Systematic checks isolate the problem quickly.
Check for Start Under Pressure
Residual pressure in the oil separator makes the motor start against load and trip. Check the pressure gauge before starting.
Overload and Overheating
Excessive load, blocked cooling or a failing fan causes overload or over-temperature trips.
Drive Faults
Read the drive fault code; common causes include supply voltage issues, parameter errors and sensor faults.
Diagnostic Order
Check residual pressure, then cooling and load, then read the converter fault history to narrow the cause.
